What is a principle?
When you have problems or difficulties, the Bible instructs us with certain truths and it encourages us to reach out and grab hold of these principles in that situation...to trust God with these truths. It's not enough just to say, "Well, I'm going through tough times and difficulties or hardships or maybe just a small problem" and we just ignore God's Word. God's Word gives us some very practical advice.

1. We ought to affirm that we are very important to God and He cares deeply for us. "Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?" (Matthew 6:26)
   
2. We ought to affirm that there are some things more important than our problems. The Bible is not just a book that meets our needs (which it does!), but the Bible is an exhortation to seek first the kingdom of God. (Matthew 6:33)
   
3. We ought to focus on today. "Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof." (Matthew 6:34)
